Welcome to JouRNeY Taekwondo, a family owned and operated martial arts school, creating tomorrow's leaders one black belt at a time.

We now have two locations, our original school, Karate for Kids in Plainfield, IL, and our new location, Taekwondo USA in Joliet, IL.

We offer Tiny Tiger classes specially designed for the preschool/kindergarten age (3 1/2 to 6 year olds). We understand these little ones are at a very impressionable age, and require a fun but firm hand. We also know that many young children are beset by aggressive media messages. Our classes help you to channel their never-ending energy, and enthusiasm into a disciplined, strength building outlet. Tuition starts at $105 per month for two classes a week.

Our Kid Junior classes, for children ages 6 to 8 years old, help with the difficult transition between Tiny Tigers and the greater material requirements of the Junior program. We began this program in response to the growing desire of our customers and instructors to give this age group a bit more time in rank which allows the technique and memory to stick. Tuition starts at $125 per month for two classes a week.

Our black belt club, warrior club and leadership classes are for juniors 7 to 12 years old, and teens and adults 13 to 100. We know that children need good role models, and positive peer pressure for success at this critical age. Our classes offer activities in traditional Songham Taekwondo, self defense, sparring and weapons which translates into confidence building, focus and discipline in school and at work. We also have special ATA FIT personal training memberships available, for those members who are interested in remaining fit and healthy through a calisthenic, aerobic and kickboxing group and private classes. Monthly class tuition starts at $125, and we offer special multi family member discounts, and family memberships.

Because we are a family of six black belts, you will find a sense of homecoming and family at our school. We are proud to form a triangle with you, the parent, and your child in an effort to develop a well-rounded, physically and mentally strong individual of high character and honor.
